Urban Green Space Revitalisation – Queen Elizabeth II Park (Tortola, BVI)
Overview
The scope included both infrastructure and landscape improvements, delivered in line with cultural, accessibility, and environmental goals for the territory.
This transformative project aimed to revitalise one of the British Virgin Islands’ key public green spaces, supporting both local community use and the growing tourism sector. I led the project management of key upgrades and enhancements to Queen Elizabeth II Park, ensuring the space supported healthier lifestyles, public engagement, and environmental stewardship.

Oversaw the refurbishment and expansion of the children’s playground, integrating safe, inclusive, and durable equipment.

Managed the delivery of a new walking and running path to promote active living for all age groups.

Coordinated installation of picnic areas, shaded structures, and ample seating, enhancing usability for families and social gatherings.

Facilitated design planning for future provisions including a visitor centre and National Parks Trust headquarters to anchor the site’s educational and environmental functions.

Ensured environmental sensitivity in landscaping and construction processes, in line with local ecological guidelines.
